Practical when you need it. Easy to adapt when plans change.
Arrange the lounge for a board meeting, classroom session, presentation or larger gathering. You can bring your own food and drinks, choose a local caterer, and shape the set-up around your group.
We prepare and clean the room before you arrive. The Hub Manager is available during business hours and can help with set-up requirements arranged in advance.

85-inch wall-mounted display, projector and 3m drop-down screen, Bluetooth audio, one wireless microphone and a whiteboard.
Caterer’s kitchen

Bar set-up
Moveable bar and a double glass-front drinks chiller for your function.
Video conferencing
Available for smaller groups. Ask us whether the set-up suits your meeting.
Balcony
A 5m-deep balcony overlooking Midway Beach, directly accessible from the lounge.

Access and set-up
Early access may be available, subject to other bookings. Include all set-up time in your booking request.
Hirers generally set up the lounge furniture themselves. Let us know your layout and any special requirements in advance so we can help where possible.
Before you leave
Furniture may remain in the lounge unless another arrangement has been made.
- Remove leftover food and drinks.
- Clear tables and place rubbish and recycling in the bins provided.
- Stack used dishes on the trolley.
- Take all personal items, decorations and event equipment.
What you arrange
- Your preferred furniture set-up.
- Catering, event staff, drinks and any extra hire items.
- Plates, cutlery, cups and glasses unless added to your booking.
- Any advanced audio, live-streaming, lighting or staging requirements.
Alcohol policy
BYO alcohol is permitted at private functions when it is supplied free of charge.
If alcohol is sold, or included with ticket sales, the hirer must obtain the appropriate special licence from Gisborne District Council and meet all legal requirements.
Alcohol must stay within the hired room and balcony. Deliveries need to be arranged with management in advance.
